Stress is a modern day plague.
We all seem to have too much to do and not enough time to do it in!
Unfortunately prolonged stress has a negative effect on the body.
The stress response turns down the effectiveness of your immune system.
Prolonged stress therefore leads to major physical health problems, so it should never be ignored.
There are many ways to help relieve stress.
For some people, just talking through the issue in psychotherapy can bring a great deal of relief.
In my approach to stress I take a holistic view, and in addition to the above, I encourage my stressed psychotherapy clients to engage in mindfulness and meditation, physical exercise, and nutritional support.
